It’s no secret Britney Spears has been on a roller coaster recently. Following the end of her conservatorship, there are still a lot of legal matters getting resolved. Plus, there’s been endless speculation about her relationship, as well as getting married, losing a child, and finally doing things she hadn’t been allowed to do in a long time. But Britney might be ready for even more if the talk online is true. Here’s what you need to know.
The Supply Chain vs. Britney Spears
First, we know that Britney Spears inked a deal to tell her story in her own book. Spears has talked occasionally about the process on her Instagram, as well as opened up about some of the experiences she’ll detail in the book. However, it looks like fans might have to wait a little longer to get their own paper copy. Word is, a paper shortage could delay the release of her story.
That’s being blamed on both a labor shortage, as well as people ordering more books when there was nothing really to do but sit at home. Either way, the book is apparently done and we’re just waiting on this to be resolved. And we can kind of see why. This will clearly be a big seller, so we’re sure they’ll want to come out with a big bang, rather than an e-book-only debut.
Britney Spears and Elton John?
So, this is one we’re torn on. We enjoy both artists, and the word is they’re getting ready to release a new version of one of our personal favorites, “Tiny Dancer.” We haven’t seen anything directly from Britney, but the possibility seems to be getting better by the day.
People are even saying Britney made sure she was able to write something new to add in the duet. The problem? We’ve seen this with a lot of artists. In the last release we heard from Elton John, his voice sounded different. And we’re not sure how this will turn out.
Britney Spears ready for a comeback?
Finally, one wouldn’t blame Britney Spears if she never went into the studio again and just enjoyed life. She definitely has the perfume sales—and royalties—to back that up. Not to mention her book deal. However, there’s also more and more talk that she’s getting back her musical groove. Specifically, we’re seeing talk of a new album that will let the singer exercise her demons through her lyrics.
And the talk is also making it clear Britney wants to break away from bubblegum pop and show a different side of her. If that’s the case, we’re in. We love some of her old hits, but there’s always something great about seeing an artist transform themselves and their art. Only time will tell if this comes to pass.
