ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) the Center of Major Logic Fail

ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) has been key in a lot of stuff going down recently. While it looks like her time might be running out, we wouldn’t be surprised if she manages to stick around and cause more trouble. But we do have some problems with how her story’s being handled currently. Here’s what you need to know.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The background

So, let’s catch you up a minute. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Esme is Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) daughter. And while they haven’t mentioned who the mother is, we do believe it’s Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner). After all, she and Mac Scorpio (John J York) had an odd sudden conversation about whether they wanted another child. And there have been references to her past with Ryan. Including her wanting to face off with him for some closure. All the while, Esme and Ryan have been hiding the fact he’s not locked in at all, he’s just using this as a way to get at his enemies. And Esme is, let’s face it, more his errand girl than daughter.

Right now, however, Esme is in a mess. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) has made it clear now he’s on to her. And if she ever wants the supposed proof of her birth mother’s identity, she’ll find a way to get Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) out of the mess Esme created by framing her for revenge porn. But there have been a couple of moments we’ve been scratching our heads over.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Problem #1

First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Esme was barred from having any contact with Ryan after Kevin Collins (Lindstrom) expressed concern about the pair interacting. So, we find it problematic that Esme was there at GH as his means of communication when Ryan made that stop at the hospital that enabled Felicia to face off with him. Well, at best as one can with a supposedly locked in person. Wouldn’t Spring Ridge have sent someone else to be his form of communication, given Kevin’s instructions? Why didn’t this person show up and cause a lot of questions? The communication method set up looks simple enough that someone else could have been trained to do it. And if they had no one else that could, shouldn’t Kevin have been informed? He is, after all, Ryan’s only relative and the one apparently responsible for his care at the moment. There’s no way Kevin would have allowed that without being present.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Problem #2

Now, if you’ve followed our ‘Days of Our Lives’ coverage, you know we’ve had a few questions about how the Salem PD operates. And recent events are making us feel the Port Charles system isn’t much better. In the July 26th episode, Esme managed to get Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) to pull strings to get her back in that internship. But we wonder why red flags aren’t waving all over about her next move.

After being out of the loop a little bit, she literally just gets her internship back and suddenly needs to speak with the patient about something urgent? There is no logical reason for her to have anything urgent to speak to him about. And we doubt the strings Nikolas pulled to get her that internship back are even remotely enough to excuse that. Someone’s falling asleep at the switch, and we have a feeling Kevin is going to make some heads roll when he finds out. Of course, Nikolas won’t be faring too well with his stepfather and mother when they learn what he just did, against Kevin’s wishes.
