Johnny Depp is officially on TikTok following his victory in his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard. The star already has more than 3.5 million followers on his verified account as of Tuesday and describes himself on his profile as an “Occasional Thespian”, though he has yet to post any content.

Depp joins the popular video-sharing platform just a week after winning a $15 million damages suit from Heard, in which a Virginia jury found her liable for three counts. The jury reached a unanimous verdict last Wednesday and decided there was enough evidence to show Amber Heard had defamed Johnny Depp in a 2018 op-ed for the Washington Post.

Since winning the case, Depp has been in the public eye, fist-pumping in the United Kingdom, performing on-stage with Jeff Beck, dropped $62,000 on an Indian feast and now joins the world of TikTok. It looks like Depp isn’t afraid to put everything out there right now and has got to be feeling pretty good.

Heard on the other hand believes this decision has “set women back” and her lawyers have said that she doesn’t have the money to pay Johnny, which is a bit alarming. After the decision was made, Heard released a statement on Instagram saying, “The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband.”

Johnny on the hand, says he finally feels “at peace”, before adding, “From the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome. Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me.”
