Professional wrestling legend Jeff Hardy has been arrested in Florida for a DUI charge. Volusia County jail records show Hardy was booked early Monday morning and charged with DUI alcohol/drugs and driving with a suspended or revoked license. He is currently being held on a $3,500 bond.
Hardy currently wrestles in All Elite Wrestling with his brother Matt, who was scheduled to appear together for a ladder match this week against Young Bucks and Jurassic Express. Unfortunately, it does not appear that will be happening.
Jeff has a long history with drug and alcohol abuse that has unfortunately hindered his life and career.
AEW Star Jeff Hardy Arrested In Florida For A DUI
He was just released from WWE last December after an incident in which he strangely exited through the crowd during a match at an untelevised house show.
If not for his substance abuse issues, Hardy would probably be one of the biggest wrestling stars in the world. After an early ladder match with The Undertaker at WWE, he was set to propel into the stars. Unfortunately, he was released back then because of drugs.
WWE had offered to send him to rehab, but he declined. He currently has a court date set for Tuesday afternoon.
We hope to see the star get back on his feet and get healthy. At 44-years-old, he’s still a force to be reckoned with and after rejoining his brother in AEW, things were looking bright.
We’re all thinking about you Jeff, and hope you get the help you need.
