Back in 2019, those of us who are familiar with the 90 day fiancé fandom will remember the fiasco that was Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee’s relationship. She went all the way to South Korea to be with him only to find out that she and Jihoon weren’t really all that compatible after all.
It also seemed that Jihoon was not really prepared to have an actual family to provide for. He did not have a proper house for them and they seemingly traipsed all around Korea trying to find a place to stay that wasn’t with Jihoon’s parents. Jihoon let Deavan’s then four year old daughter, Drasilla, loose in the street which caused all manner of controversy in the fandom.

Then there were the abuse allegations, Deavan started accusing Jihoon and his parents of physically abusing little Drasilla and practically never being there for his son, Taeyang, then Deavan had a miscarriage (though it was rumored that it was an abortion, even though abortion is not really legal in South Korea.) and it wasn’t too long after that that Deavan came back to the US.
She downplayed the reasons – at first – but then once she was back in the US she made known the reasons why she left and that, at least from Deavan’s side, had everything to do with Drasilla and the fact that she was not happy and was being abused both at home and at the school that they had chosen for her.
Today Deavan put on her instagram that after a bunch of reschedules by the judge, due to COVID and Jihoon not showing up and the like, that she and Jihoon are finally divorced and that she has full, legal custody of their son, Taeyang. She scored this to David Cassidy’s “Come on get happy” and said that now that the ordeal was finally over, she would be speaking more in-depth about her experience.
Honestly, what on earth do we not know by now about Deavan and Jihoon’s relationship? Because it looks pretty cut and dry, but Deavan has claimed tales of “bad editing” before that made her look bad, but now that she herself is the editor, well, we’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
