James Corden made the announcement that he would be stepping down from the Late Late Show in 2023 and it’s been rumored that he will be moving on to ‘Doctor Who’. The actor and host confirmed his last episode of the talk show would come to an end next year.
He plans to back to the United Kingdom after spending 8 years in the US as the host of the Late Late Show and there are rumors that he will be joining ‘Doctor Who’ and Stephen Colbert has stoked those fires with a new tweet.
“@JKCorden Congratulations, James, on what will be eight incredible years at CBS. 12:30 won’t be the same without you. But looking forward to your exciting adventures as the new Doctor Who!”

Is James Corden Really Leaving The Late Late Show To Be In BBC’s ‘Doctor Who’?
People reacted to the tweet, “Am I the only person who finds James Corden really really annoying and not funny?”, “corden’s leaving? good. i never once laughed or even giggled watching his show. who needs a clean cut, happy go lucky, family friendly, british comedian when we have ricky gervaise.”, “DON’T YOU DARE PUT THAT INTO THE UNIVERSE! Thats cruel to whovians dont get me wrong funny companion but absolutely not as The Doctor.”, and “He used to be tolerable and even turned in some good performances when he was still an actor but… it is an unwritten rule that British performers who aren’t quite funny enough go to America where they are percieved as hilarious. Case in point, John Oliver.”
It looks like Corden has some criticisms heading his way if he is indeed to join ‘Doctor Who’, especially considering his track record in acting.
