After his outburst last night and confusing conversations about where it was staged or not, Will Smith has come out and apologized for his behavior and slapping Chris Rock after a joke. I’m not going to waste time explaining what happened because we all have seen the video after it went viral and the 4 people who watched it live at home.

However, it appears it wasn’t staged as Smith as not come out and apologized for his actions in a social media post saying,

“Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable.”

Smith continued to finally apologize to Chris Rock saying, “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to me. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”

In a shocking display of losing control of your emotions, Will Smith walked up on stage and slapped a grown man in the face for making a joke that involved his wife. You may praise Will or despise him but either way, what happened was a complete circus and we’re sure Uncle Phil would be proud… *cough*.

The apology feels like a copy and paste statement from a representative and doesn’t feel genuine at all. He ended his apology saying,

“I am a work in progress.”

What do you think? Are you buying the apology and what do you think went through Smith’s head last night? Let us know in the comments below.
