‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Y&R Celebrates 49 Years And Thanks Fans And Viewers For Their Support

‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that the soap opera is celebrating its 49 year anniversary and has posted some amazing photos to their social media pages! We’re getting awfully close to half a century and that’s mindboggling to me. How can a show continue on for 50 years?

Well, ‘The Young and the Restless’ seems to have figured it out (for the most part) as they continue pumping out the content and storylines day after day. Of course, while some of the stories have been a bit lackluster and dare I say, boring, they’ve always managed to maintain their viewers and characters like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) who have been around since the beginning!

“49 years and counting! Today we celebrate 49 years of The Young and the Restless. Thank you to the amazing #YR fans for your support and viewership. ❤️ It means the world to us!”

Several fans reacted to the news saying, “Fan from the beginning!♥️ Thank you for posting! #screenshotworthy“, “Wow that means I’m getting old I’ve been watching since the beginning”, “I turn 49 April 4! I’ve been watching my whole life! As a kid my mom and grandparents watched it and I did too. Then I kept watching, my whole life❤️ Thank you for being a constant in my life”, “Omg and I have been watching for 45 years 🙌🙌🙌🙌”, “Really good to see Paul Williams family. Some good storylines came from that group.”, and “Thank you for these incredible throwback pictures. I’ve been watching since 1985 so there are a LOT of wonderful Y&R memories. Seeing so many old favorite actors that are no longer on the show was rather sad. Still wishing Doug Davidson can come back. He’s missed!!”
