A terrifying nightmare came true for someone as they realized their greatest fear. A beach in Sydney had to be temporarily closed after some fishermen witnessed a gruesome attack by a shark. Cops were called about the shark attack around 4:35 PM on Wednesday.

The people fishing nearby on the shore heard the swimmer screaming in terror and witnessed the entire attack unfold. In an absolutely gruesome video that has been censored on TMZ, the shark was still lurking around when the person recording yelled out, “Someone just got eaten by a shark. Oh man! Oh no! That’s insane.”

Police say that when they arrived they couldn’t find anything but human remains and blood in the water. As of now, there are no details about the deceased swimmer but police say they are investigating and might know more information later today.

Rescue crews on jet skis and boats went out in search of the poor soul who died, but to no avail. Witnesses recounted the event saying they heard the swimmer yelling,

“We heard a yell and turned around it looked like a car had landed in the water, a big splash then the shark was chomping at the body and there was blood everywhere.”

This is the first fatal shark attack in Sydney in 60 years!
