Once upon a time, we got a little show called Sex and the City that lasted for six seasons and even had two movies, so they decided to do a reboot and so far there’s been 5 (count ‘em!) episodes of season 1, to… mixed reviews. But then… a problem arose.

A problem named Chris Noth. Noth has been accused of sexually assaulting several women over the years who have just now felt the courage to come out and say so because they were triggered by Noth’s appearance on the new series. Even the stars of the series have come out and said that they stand with the victims. Especially Sarah Jessica Parker.

HBO’s ‘And Just Like That…’ – Will There Even Be A Season 2?

A source told Us Weekly that Parker takes the job of being Carrie Bradshaw very seriously, and has wanted to use the character to uplift and empower women. But now, knowing that women have been hurt by her co-star and technically while he was still on the show, has blindsided her.

Parker knows that Noth is the one that screwed up here and that it’s his problem, but she feels responsible on some level. Up until now, there was talk of a season 2 of “And Just Like That” but in the past few days, the talks have come to a halt. Honestly, who can really blame them?

Obviously, Noth’s actions are not the fault of anyone on the Sex and the City or And Just Like That cast, his choices are all his own. However, it’s natural to see where Parker would feel that the entire franchise was tainted by what he did, especially now that there have been multiple women coming forward basically saying the same thing.

That Noth forced himself upon them and did things that would make any franchise look bad, but especially one as geared toward women’s sexual liberation as these two were. So, will there be a season 2?

Right now that is still up in the air, and we would certainly understand if they wanted to leave the reboot directly where it lies… but we’ll see how things play out. Stay tuned!!!
