Mr. Big has some pretty big problems, but apparently they aren’t big enough for Chris Noth. The actor was spotted in Massachusetts just before Christmas, where he seemed both relaxed and unbothered by all of the sexual assault accusations that have been made against him.
Instead, the actor simply said that when it comes to all the claims, he’ll just “let the chips fall” where they may be. Here’s what you need to know.
Chris Noth Doesn’t Seem Very Worried About All Of The Sexual Assault Accusations Made Against Him
As of press time, at least five women have come forward to claim that the “Sex and the City” actor had assaulted them in the past. “You have my statement right? My statement is out, I rest by my statement,” the actor told paparazzi in a video Wednesday. “I’ll now let the chips fall where they may. My statement is my statement, that’s all I can give.”
Two women have accused the “And Just Like That…” star of sexual assault. One woman claimed the assault happened in 2004 while the other was said to have occurred in 2015.
Another woman, New York singer Lisa Gentile, claimed Noth accosted her sexually in her apartment after giving her a ride home from the eatery Da Marino in Midtown, then threatened to ruin her career if she ever spoke out.
“I was afraid to come forward because Mr. Noth’s power and his threats to ruin my career,” Gentile said at a press conference with her attorney, Gloria Allred.
Noth denied the allegations from the Hollywood Reporter story and the Daily Beast earlier in the month. “The encounters were consensual,” he said. “It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) earlier said that the allegations had not led to an investigation because no official report had been made to police.
