It looks like Britney Spears’ family is home back in Louisiana. There’s a new report that says the chart topper absolutely refuses to see her mother Lynne Spears, despite the fact that they were once very close.
That’s because Brit Brit is bitter over her mother’s involvement in her 13-year conservatorship. Here’s what you need to know.
Britney Spears Refuses To See Her Mother Lynne Spears
Apparently, Lynne flew to Los Angeles this past week to extend an olive branch to her famous daughter, but Britney is having none of it. Britney is still bitter that her mother had a role is “ruining her life” while her father Jamie Spears controlled every aspect of her personal affairs and estate for over a decade.
A few weeks before the conservatorship ended, Lynne flew to Los Angeles to try to reconnect with Britney,” one source close to the situation told Page Six.
“But Britney didn’t even let Lynne into her house. She is furious with her. Lynne tried over a number of days to try to visit, but Britney just shut her down.”
Back in July, Lynne Spears said she had “mixed feelings” over the conservatorship. According to Page Six, Lynne felt rather “torn” about her daughter’s situation, which apparently led to a fight and then a 911 call the night before Britney’s heartbreaking testimony.
When asked about the conservatorship, Lynne told The New Yorker – in a hushed whisper – “I got mixed feelings about everything. I don’t know what to think. It’s a lot of pain, a lot of worry.”
The New Yorker also says that Britney Spears called 911 the night before the testimony as she wanted to report herself as a victim of abuse. The call has since been confirmed by the Ventura County law enforcement department.
