The passing of former Denver wide receiver Demaryius Thomas came as a shock. The young man was just 33-years-old, barely into retirement, and ready to live out the rest of his life. However, a car accident in 2019 led to him having health issues, and it seems they finally caught up with him.

Thomas was found dead in his home Thursday evening and the preliminary information points to a medical issue being the reason for his death.

Former teammates and friends from around the league have reached out and extended their condolences, including Tom Brady.

Brady shared a photo of the two of them together with a caption calling Thomas “a source of light as always.” Across all the teams in the league, no one ever had anything bad to say about Thomas and he was a true legend on and off the field. The picture was from the Hall of Fame just this last August and showed the two of them smiling bright for the camera.

Fans from every team in the league have commented on the news of Thomas and everyone had become a Denver fan.

We wish Thomas’s family well and are so sorry for their loss.
