Can you imagine a world where Adrian Peterson would take handoffs from Tom Brady? One of the greatest runningbacks taking the ball from one of the greatest quarterbacks to play the game? Well, Peterson seems to think that’d be a great idea.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Peterson was asked if that was something he’d like to see happen,

“That would definitely be something I’m interested in… If they want me to be a part of it, I’ll be a part of it for sure. Because I’m definitely trying to add a trophy to my resume.”

Peterson is going to be a free agent this offseason after his 1-year contract with the Detroit Lions expires. Could there be interest in him from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Back in 2017, Bruce Arians traded for him when he was still coaching the Arizona Cardinals. With Arians in Tampa now, this only leads more to the speculation.

While Tampa Bay currently has Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones, who have at times performed well this season, neither has established themselves as an “all-day” type of running back. *Cough*

Tom Brady actually reached out to Peterson before the Super Bowl and sent him a signed jersey, leading to more of Peterson’s excitement.

This might be a match made in heaven. A Tampa Bay offense with Tom Brady, Mike Evans, Antonio Brown (assuming he returns), Rob Gronkowski (assuming he returns), and Adrian “All Day” Peterson? That sounds like a recipe for disaster. Of course, with Tampa Bay already winning the Super Bowl, they demonstrated that they don’t necessarily need AP, but maybe take him along for the ride so he can get that trophy he’s after.

What do you think? Do you think Adrian Peterson could make his way to Tampa Bay? Let us know in the comments below.
