‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that we’ve been suspecting that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) would be getting back together sooner rather than later, but Phyllis certainly threw a curveball today, didn’t she?
While she’s been on edge about the entire thing, Jack figured it’d be good to talk about how he told her he still loved her, and what it meant to him still. However, at the end of the exchange, it sounded like Phyllis kept him in the friendzone as she talked about not ruining their “friendship”.

This hit Jack hard and you could see it tore him up inside. While it seems like he’s been cautiously optimistic about the situation, I don’t think he saw this coming, and Phyllis hit him with it hard. Now, could this just be her overreacting and trying to gauge the situation and she’s really just nervous about telling him that she still loves him as well?
We also spoke about the possibility of Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) maybe trying to win her back, but it looks like she’s not ready for any relationship at all.
As for Jack, that kind of eliminates every romantic connection he has in town without introducing someone new which is what a lot of viewers think they should do. Why do we keep playing pass around when Jack could find love with some new woman that knows nothing about him or his past or even Phyllis? We need new people in Genoa City, otherwise, these people are going to die old and alone. Worse yet, they could die old and with someone they’re not happy with.
