So often, when one starts college and then goes off to have a career in entertainment, one leave their alma mater behind and doesn’t look back, instead choosing the glitz and glam of Hollywood life and never thinking about such plebian pursuits as college.
However, not Megan Thee Stallion. Her Mother, Holly Thomas, who died in 2019 of brain cancer, saw her going to school, and to honor both her and her late Grandmother (who was a teacher), Megan decided to continue to pursue her dream of a degree.

Today, she walked with the graduating class of Texas Southern University, tweeting out “We did it hotties!” along with graduation pictures. What would someone as famous as Megan Thee Stallion possibly get a degree in?
She got a bachelor of science in medical administration, not the first thing you would think of when you see the name Megan Thee Stallion, but she started this degree before she was famous so we’re assuming that this was originally her thing to fall back on in case her dream didn’t work out.
(Hey, it’s always good to have a back-up plan!) She says that she wanted to get her degree but also be Megan Thee Stallion too, so what’s a girl to do when one has dreams that directly conflict with one another?
Megan has plans to open an assisted living facility and have her classmates run it! That’s right, Megan Thee Stallion, AKA Megan Pete, is going to use the money from her rap career to create more jobs and give back to her community by not only helping those in need, but by creating jobs for her well-deserving classmates.
If that ain’t the American dream, I don’t know what is. This is one of those heartwarming, crowning moment of success stories that we desperately need in 2021 because the last year and a half has been rough on us, and we can only hope that her business venture does well, though it might take awhile to get off the ground during a pandemic, realistically.
Even so, we all have to admit that Megan’s heart was definitely in the right place, we congratulate her and wish her well. Stay tuned!!!
