Because his PR team might have given up on him, Alec Baldwin decided to share several messages from what appeared to be a “Rust” crew member’s message slamming reports that the movie set conditions were unsafe. In the message, which was broken up into seven screenshots, Terese Magpale Davis wrote, “I’m so sick of this narrative.”
“The story being spun of us being overworked and surrounded by unsafe, chaotic conditions is (expletive),” Davis wrote.
Davis went on to discuss why some crew members had walked out that morning, saying camera crews wanted fancier hotels and it was “NOT that they were unsafe.” She also defended hiring the armorer on the set and the number of hours crew members worked.
Alec has also been criticized for ignoring a very important rule about gun safety, both on and off a film set. “Loaded or unloaded, a weapon never gets pointed at another human being,” Hollywood firearms consultant Bryan Carpenter of Dark Thirty Film Services told The Post.
No one was arrested in the incident, and no charges have been filed, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s office but it does remain under investigation at press time.
