Erika Jayne might want the world to believe that she doesn’t have any control of her own money but back in 2019 she suggested that she paid her “own bills.” Here’s what you need to know.
During an appearance on Andy Cohen’s show, “Watch What Happens Live,” Erika was asked about her financial situation. Reading a question that a fan had asked, Andy said, “Ask Erika if she feels the need to cut back on her glam squad since her husband is being sued for a huge amount of money. We got a lot of questions about this. Anything you want to say about that?”

Erika replied, “Uh yeah. It’s a lawsuit and you can’t comment on it. It’s a lawsuit and I pay my own bills. So no, I don’t.”
However, during last week’s reunion of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Erika said that she had no clue as to what her husband Tom Girardi was doing financially and that she gave all of her paychecks over to him.
The former couple is being accused of using their divorce to embezzle money and hide assets from the victims of Lion Air Flight 610 in a lawsuit that was filed the following month.
Needless to say, it didn’t take very long for the internet to weigh in on the matter. Many critics took to social media to write, “How could she pay her own bills when she said just last week that she always turned over her paychecks to her old man?” along with, “She’s such a liar, if tom was so senile, how would he even remember if she handed over her paycheck or not?”
Another critic wrote, “Erika needs to carry around a voice-activated digital recorder, hire someone to transcribe all her comments for that day so she can keep track of all her effing lies. She can’t even lip sync the truth!”
Last month Erika was in tears when she recounted her husband’s scandal. She also said she couldn’t believe all of the rumors suggesting her split from Tom was a way to hide their money.
