It wasn’t too long ago that Britney Spears announced over on her instagram that she was putting up her Christmas tree early in celebration of her newfound life outside the conservatorship (this was before it even ended), however, now that she’s free, Britney decided to take her first shopping trip since her finances came under her own control, and we couldn’t be happier for her!
During the conservatorship, in spite of having literally millions of dollars, she was put on an allowance and once her Father was documented as forbidding her to buy an expensive perfume, even though she had made over $100M in fragrance sales the previous year, stating that she didn’t have the money.

But now, Britney definitely has the money and she’s not afraid to get a jump on her holiday shopping by going out to The Oaks shopping mall and flexing her credit muscles. Now, the employees at The Oaks say that Miss Spears is a regular, but, how regular is debatable, considering her life really hasn’t been her own for the past 13 years.
She decked the malls wearing red knee-high boots, a white puffy jacket, and sunglasses, because hey let’s not forget that celebrity staple. This is definitely a step toward a more normal existence for Britney, no word on what stores she hit up yet but we’re assuming that Bath and Body works may just be having a shortage of candles after Miss Spears got done with them.
We aren’t the only ones glad to see Britney out and about, apparently former Mousekateer co-star, Lance Bass, has said that he would love to see Britney living more of her life in the open. We’re behind that sentiment 100%, maybe one day she’ll do a ‘follow-me-around’ instagram post that we could all watch, that would actually be fun.
Just a few days ago Britney said that it was the little things that made her life easier, and indeed, a trip to the mall the day before Thanksgiving is something that a bunch of us take for granted – but this has probably been Britney’s first trip outside that wasn’t strictly controlled in a long time.
