A TikTok video has gone viral after a woman claimed that all illegal immigrants within the United States should work for free in order to earn their stay.

The person, by the name of Yvonne Elaine Brown, has since then responded by removing all her social media accounts. But the damage has been done, with the video being shared so many times.
In the footage here, we can see Yvonne telling everyone just how outraged she was by the presence of illegal immigration. She said: “Well, why don’t we have all these illegal immigrants who are coming over here unload this shit for us?

“Not only that, unload the shit for us, distribute it, and work for us for the next five years to earn their stay here. What do you think about that?”
The video naturally caused a lot of emotion on social media. Although it did generate views upwards of 1.7 million, it did receive a lot of backlash for the following reasons.
First of all, people felt that with illegal immigration, each case should be determined individually. After all, people have many reasons for acting in this way.
Secondly, in a country that prides itself on liberty, people felt that she was endorsing slavery within the United States. One user wrote: “I think you’re asking for slavery back.
“Before you say, ‘that’s not what I’m saying,’ because I know, I know how TikTok and white woman tears work, I know, but look what I found already.”
The consequences for Yvonne have been severe. Her employer has responded by terminating her contract after the negative publicity that she has generated.
In an official statement, they said: “We do not tolerate any form of racism from our employees or independent salespeople, also known as MONAT Market Partners.
“We are building a company culture of respect with a focus on serving others and practising gratitude that is free from hate.” This story shows us that Yvonne should have thought before she aired this video.
