NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) is once again under evil influence. She was fully possessed for about a minute, until John Black (Drake Hogestyn) said a prayer and sent the devil packing. And he never knew there was a possession going on. However, we suppose that little bit was enough. Let’s see what’s happened and how this should end.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What’s going on
First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate Marlena suffered through a lot of nightmares and conversations with her tape recorder. The first indication she wasn’t completely free was when she didn’t just tell John what was happening to start. Her attacking Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) just added to this, as well as her convincing Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) he shouldn’t be worried about his illness passing on to a #Cin baby. But the clear sign she finally lost the battle came on October 15th.
She walked in on John and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) talking about the movie he wants to make. To Johnny’s credit, he admitted he’d come to ask Marlena’s permission but changed his mind after speaking to John. He’s willing to let the project go. However, Marlena shocked them both when she said she was okay with the movie. In fact, she thinks it’s a great idea.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Justification
So, we’re definitely expecting John to object come October 18th. However, we assume Marlena will give some excuse about how the movie could be a way for her to face her feelings about that time. A way to empower herself and have the story told on her terms. We assume she’ll also argue that crushing Johnny’s dream would just be more avoidance that will never let either of them heal all the way.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What we think
Based on the weekly, we’d say John catches on sooner rather than later. And we’re sure, no matter how long this story lasts, it will end with Marlena being saved once again. However, we feel this story would be a waste if there weren’t long-term consequences for Marlena.
Yes, she’s an innocent victim. She invited the devil in to save Doug Williams (Bill Hayes). However, she is still possessed and still is doing evil’s bidding. We just don’t see how the town can ever look at her the same way again. One time, sure. But two possessions? We’d be on our guard around her for the rest of her life, for sure. And what about Ben?
Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate she is probably the person he trusts and respects the most. We know he understands being out of one’s mind, but when the truth comes out, it should be hard for him to reconcile the fact his trusted advisor steered him wrong at evil’s bidding. He might feel betrayed, especially since Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) is caught up in this as well. So, we think Ben might hesitate before going to Marlena with his problems in the future.
