‘Welcome to Plathville’ Spoilers finds that, we saw Olivia Plath packing up her stuff in preparation for a move to Tallahasee, a move that hasn’t happened yet because Olivia is unable to find an apartment, at least one that she thinks that Ethan will approve of.
Unlike Olivia, Ethan needs a place where there isn’t very many people, where there is a lot of cars to fix, a lot of woods to explore, places to keep his cars, generally a real ‘man cave’ of a place.
‘Welcome to Plathville’: Olivia was the one that changed
Olivia wants to embrace big city living for awhile and she thought that Tallahasee was a good compromise because it’s a bigger city and provides all the creature comforts that she would want but isn’t a place like say, Miami, that would totally intimidate Ethan.
She wants a place with more people and more ideas, however, Ethan loves the small town way of life, he likes a slower pace and he likes being able to go days, weeks, or months on end without seeing other people and just fooling around under the hood of his car, fixing things at home.
Olivia doesn’t like this, she wants to basically forget her former lifestyle ever existed and just kind of embrace what would be a very… college way of existing.
She said that she is not expecting Ethan to embrace everything about her new way of life, she mentioned political aspects and we do know that she voted democrat, of course it’s hinted that Ethan was raised conservative but he really hasn’t said anything about politics though one could imagine that he wouldn’t be as left-leaning as Olivia would be.
That’s the thing, it looks like these two are really different on a fundamental level and even though on social media they say they are still married – at the time of this airing it’s clear to see that they were going through it and having a moment.
Olivia said that it hurt to hear Ethan say that she had changed so much, but that’s kind of what your 20’s are for… though it looks like Ethan’s former way of life didn’t really allow for a lot of that. This episode ended on kind of a cliffhanger, next week, we’ll get more of that… we know that they’ve made it according to social media, but the question is how? Stay tuned!!!
