‘Welcome to Plathville’ Spoilers finds that this episode was the first episode that Micah Plath met with a diction coach. His modeling agency, Select Modeling Agency, suggested that he try acting as well as modeling. However, not every role calls for that cute little southern drawl that he has, so Micah is trying his best to drop it out of his everyday vocabulary and speak in flat, yankee vowels.

Hey, it’s for art’s sake, so while we’re not all the way here for Micah dropping his accent, we’ll certainly understand if he’s just trying to expand his repetoire for a role.

The diction coach himself was from Texas and he said he was born and raised there, so he knew a thing or two about southern accents. I’m assuming that means he knows what it takes to drop them as well because you couldn’t really tell he was from Texas right out of the gate – that was a fact that was rather well-hidden.

He went through the accent gamut with Micah and acquainted him with a way of speaking that flattened out the lilt he has, much to our chagrin, but hey at least it still comes out in confessionals, right? Micah even noticed, the way he said the name of his hometown – Cairo – was all lilt-y and was a little embarassed by it. Awww Micah, there’s nothing to be ashamed of!

One wonders where this interesting little venture is going to lead and how far Micah intends on taking the acting thing. Will he be doing reality TV for the duration or is he going to branch out into scripted things? Will we be seeing Micah Plath doing daytime TV? Or perhaps a CW teen show – or maybe some kind of Netflix thing? I guess it’ll depend on his TLC filming schedule.

I mean, Olivia did hint at next year that she wouldn’t be doing any weddings for practically the entire summer of 2022, but as far as we know Micah is wide open, so what are his career plans? He hasn’t actually said what kinds of things that he wants to act in, and right now he doesn’t actually have an agent, which I’m guessing will be the next move? We’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
