There have been a lot of changes in the case of Josh Duggar. His legal team has been trying incredibly hard to get his case thrown out and he has even gone so far as to blame the child pornography on a former employee at his car dealership. There are more and more sources that are close to the Duggar family that have started speaking out on behalf Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. One of these sources spoke with People Magazine and explained a lot about the family and how they aren’t as close as everyone thinks they are.
TLC’s Counting On: A Family Friend
The Duggars are one of the most popular families to ever be on TLC. They are known for their large family and their Christian fundamentalist views. One of their close family friends explained more about them. They said, “They aren’t as close as they once were because of all of Josh’s legal drama. It’s creating a lot of stress on them- although the majority of the family is acting like nothing has happened.”
TLC’s Counting On : Not So Close Anymore
The scandal that is happening now is much different than the one they saw in 2005. It did involve Josh, once again, but back then his sisters accused him of sexual assault. Then Josh’s information popped up on the dating site, Ashley Madison and Josh had to admit that he had been unfaithful to his wife. He spent time at a rehab facility in Illinois and of course, everyone thought he was cured upon his return home.
Slowly, there have been more and more of the Duggars to leave the show to pursue their own careers and a life without cameras. Just recently, Jinger Vuolo and Jeremy Vuolo spoke out about the charges against her brother. They have both mentioned that they were ‘disturbed’ by what was going on and they wanted to find “justice.” Jim Bob and Michelle added, “It is our prayer that the truth, no matter what it is, will come to light… We love Josh and Anna and continue to pray for their family.”
Josh is currently being housed by his guardians and is not allowed online or to use a phone with the internet. He cannot see his children without his wife present and cannot see any other minors in his life, such as his nieces and nephews. The same family source added, “He really thinks he’s going to get out of it. Jim Bob always wants to sweep things under the rug. He’s never going to talk about the scandal because it’s bad for business.”
