As many royal fans know by now, Prince Andrew has been shunned from public life because of his connection with dead financier Jeffrey Epstein. If that weren’t enough, he’s also being sued for sexual assault by a former alleged sex trafficking victim. Here’s what you need to know.
Prince Andrew Reportedly Going ‘Stir Crazy’ At Windsor
Not only if Prince Andrew trying to hide his face from the public, but he’s also trying to avoid getting served. The Duke of York has been slapped with a lawsuit by former alleged sex trafficking victim Viriginia Giuffre, who claims that she was sexually assaulted by the prince when she was still a minor. Because of the lawsuit, this might be the reason why so many people believe Prince Andrew has gone into hiding, and in an attempt to avoid being served legal papers.
A source told the Sun: “Andrew was going stir-crazy inside Royal Lodge for the past few weeks. He wasn’t going horse riding and couldn’t step outside because of attempts to serve him with the legal papers. He knows he is far safer up at Balmoral on the queen’s estate.”
According to reports, Virginia has filed a civil case against Prince Andrew under New York’s Child Victims Act. She has repeatedly made her allegations against dead but also disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Prince Andrew, but the lawsuit was the first time she has directly confronted Andrew in such a formal setting.
In a statement, Virginia said she was “holding Prince Andrew accountable for what he did to me.” Should Randy Andy be hiding out in Balmoral, at least he’s got 50,000 acres he can get lost in.
