Princess Diana was very close to her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, and by the looks of it, she loved to spend time with them on the beach.
Princess Diana Loved Taking Prince William and Prince Harry To ‘The Beach’
That is according to Royal expert Stewart Pearce. Diana was by far the most popular member of the Royal family in history simply because she resonated with the public. She may have had millions to her name, but the fact that she enjoyed the simple things in life is what gave her a sense of normality regardless of her Royal connection.
And this was shown during her time in bringing up William and Harry. In an interview with Us Weekly, Stewart said: “Really, being on the beach [was her favourite mom activity]. She loved being on the beach, and watching [her boys] windsurf and swim.” But it was not just for keeping her children occupied. It was also done for health reasons.
Diana was very committed to her health which led to numerous comments about her youthfulness, despite the fact that she was in one of the most stressful environments known to man. And that has been credited to her passion for fitness.
Stewart added: “She was always in water…She would jump into the car and drive a distance of about 10 minutes to Buckingham Palace and swim 20 lengths of the pool every morning.”
It is no wonder that Diana is still revered to this day. And the Royals have made sure that she has been remembered since then. Just recently, a statue was erected in her honour to acknowledge the 24th anniversary of her death.
Although William and Harry may not be on good terms, they did come together for the sake of their mother. In a statement given at the time of the unveiling, the duo said: “Today, on what would have been our mother’s 60th birthday. We remember her love, strength and character – qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better.”
Diana is surely being missed, but the only thing that the Royals can do is to continue the things she was known for.
