‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that Nicole portrayer, Arianne Zucker is taking her characters love life into her own hands!
Arianne took to social media, asking her Instagram followers who Nicole should be with now that she is divorced from estranged husband Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).
“After Eric left, what is Nicole to do?!” Arianne asked her fans before imploring them to vote on a poll in her Instagram Stories.

Vote they did and, overwhelmingly, audiences want to see Nicole and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) stop dancing around their feelings and get together already!!!
Arianne posted the results, captioning the landslide in Rafe’s favor with, “Wow! The results are in from yesterday’s poll in my stories! Rafe is the winner!”
Out of 2,592 votes, Rafe soared in with 1,259 votes over a Nicole an EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerieggel) pairing which received 666 votes. In fact, EJ lost out to Nicole being on her own, the ‘neither’ option earning 667 votes.
Though he wasn’t an option in the poll, fans suggested in the comments that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) should have been an option, though head writer Ron Carlivati is having fun pitting Brady against Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kennneth Johnson) in the race for Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) heart.
Other fans wished for Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian) to rise from the dead. The chemistry would be out of sight seeing as Arianne and Shawn are engaged in real life.
More ‘Ercole’ diehards posted that they want to see Eric and Nicole back again. Though the couple seemed to be ‘endgame’, Greg’s departure from the soap makes that recoupling looks less on the cards than a Daniel resurrection.
“Such interesting comments in my feed,” Arianne wrote on the post with the poll results. Hinting at another poll soon she added, “This is fun. Stay tuned!”
Poll or no, Executive Producer Ken Corday recently shared some juicy tidbits about what fans can expect this fall.
Speaking of Rafe, Ava, Nicole and EJ he said, “This is a strong four-some. Nicole realizes she’s interfering in Rafe and Ava’s romance, so she turns her attention to EJ, who is more than willing to help her forget about Rafe.”
Sorry ‘Nife’ shippers.
“EJ and Nicole have a rich history and it’s worth exploring,” Corday finished.
