Britney Spears’ lawyer Erik Nasarenko has denied the singer’s housekeeper’s claims that she had assaulted her and therefore given Britney the all-clear.

Britney Spears’ Lawyer Confirms That The Singer Has Been Cleared Of Assault

Just last month, her housekeeper had gone to the authorities and stated that Britney had slapped her hand, which caused her mobile phone to fall out. In that act of rage, it was claimed that the housekeeper felt in great distress.

Britney denied doing anything of the sort, and an investigation into the case concluded that there was not enough evidence to hand that would allow the prosecution to convict Britney. In a statement given on behalf of Britney, her lawyer confirmed the good news.

He said: “The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office is rejecting the misdemeanour allegation against Britney Spears, which the Sheriff’s Department itself has acknowledged was… ‘very minor’…, and they’re also was no striking [and] injuries.”

With the case now firmly settled, it was clear that this was an attempt to extort some money from Britney or at the very least show her in a bad light. Britney cannot seem to get a lucky break.

If it is not her father being so overtly controlling with regards to her finances, now her staff seem to have it in for her. And her lawyer confirmed as much: “This was nothing more than sensationalised tabloid fodder. An overblown ‘he said, she said regarding a cell phone. If this involved Jane Doe rather than Britney Spears, it would not have been pursued or covered at all.”

This can now allow Britney to continue her conservatorship battle and show the world that she is ready to live a life of independence which she has craved for so long. And Erik urged the media to learn from dramatising such issues in the future.

He continued: “We sincerely hope the media and others will be more respectful of Ms Spears in the future.” It is great to see Britney putting this behind her. At one point, there was a real danger that she might be dragged into another court battle that would only have gone on to worsen her mental health.
