’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers reveal that In the Ukraine, Christimas is not celebrated on Deceber 25th, rather, it is celebrated on Jan. 6th (some cultures do that in celebration of the day that the magi found the Christ child) and Yara Zoya Dufren said that they don’t really exchange gifts for Ukranian Christmas, rather they exchange gifts for New Years and they have a big feast on Jan. 6th, which may have been a win for tradition, but it seemed to be a fail with Jovi’s family.
You would think that a culture that willingly eats aquatic roaches (guess what crayfish are!) would not be that judgmental when it came to cuisine, but oh, you would be oh so wrong.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Yara and Jovi celebrate Ukranian Christmas together
Now, if Ukranian cuisine is anything like the stuff we saw at Andrei and Libby Castravet’s Moldovian Wedding then we can see were there would be some initial misgivings because no one actually knows what those dishes are in the US. However, hubby Jovi Dufren’s family was more than a bit rude about the spread that Yara made.
Whether she made it or bought it out, the fact was that she wanted to share her Christmas tradition with the people that she considered her family and they needed to at least appreciate the effort that was made. However, they couldn’t stop throwing shade at her for five seconds.
Nor could they stop attacking her for letting little Mylah sleep in hers and Jovi’s bed. Seriously? Mylah is a baby, and maybe, just maybe Yara doesn’t want to be bothered with getting up and going in another room at night or maybe she was too busy finding a decent apartment where she felt safe instead of finding a crib.
You know, there are such things as priorities. Will it be harder to put Mylah in her own bed later? Arguably, yes, but right now, Jovi works all the time and it’s not like he’s occupying the space half the time anyway.
I think they were projecting a little too hard onto Yara the things that they think will happen to Mylah, things change quickly with babies, so while things might look iffy now with the sleeping arrangements, she’s literally just a few months old.
Yara never said that that was her permanent sleeping arrangements, it’s probably just until Jovi can be home more often, and arguably if Jovi had a different job then Yara would not be having Mylah sleep in their bed at all, just saying.
Was Yara a little rude on cutting the Ukranian Christmas thing short? Yes, but she wanted to keep Mylah’s schedule the same. Seeing as she’s been part of this family for awhile, she knows that these guys like to party in a loud way and she didn’t want Mylah getting too rowdy before bed, she’s in total Mom mode right now and she isn’t really thinking of what Jovi and his family want. Next time, Yara would do wise to just meet these people somewhere so that she can leave the celebration when she wants to. Yike! Stay tuned!!!
