She’s said this before, but this time around, does she really mean it? ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers find that star Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) is making a lifestyle change. The actress said that after some heavy contemplation, she will be taking a “vacation” from all of her social media platforms. Here’s what she has to say.
The soap star told her fans that she’s trying a “new experiment” by not going on social media for two weeks and not watching the news, either. “I’m going to see if anything changes in my life (for the better),” she said.

“It’s been really challenging for all of us,” Michelle continued. “I don’t think reading about or seeing or listening to people fight or degrade each other on TV or social media is really beneficial to my life or my creative life. In two weeks, I’ll actually tell you how it goes.”
Michelle’s co-star Christel Khalil (Lily Winters) said that she also took a break from social media and found it quite refreshing.
“What I will be doing is helping my kids start their new year in school,” she reported. “And what I will be doing is working on this new project that I’ll tell you all about when I come back. And what I will be doing is sending you all love… just not on social media. It’s a fun experiment. You are all extraordinary. See you in a couple weeks!”
Here’s hoping that the experiment goes well and that she’s back on social media in no time. We’ll sure miss her posts!
