Blake Moynes has given his take on Greg Grippo’s departure from The Bachelorette.

Greg decided to leave the show after Katie failed to inform him that she loved him. Given that he had invested so much into the show, Greg felt that she should have made her feelings clear to everyone by now. And given that he did not get the answer he was looking for, he made sure that he was not hanging around.

But looking back, Blake felt that Greg was out of order. In an interview with Variety magazine, he said: “I mean, listen. The way I look at it is if that’s the love of your life, you just don’t talk to her like that. You just don’t. You fight harder, and he didn’t do that.”

Blake was outraged because he felt that Greg was putting too much pressure on Katie. And this all played out in a very condescending manner as Greg suggested that Katie was stringing him along. With that being said, Blake admitted he would have acted in a different way.

He added: “There was talking down and things. It’s hard because I try to put myself in that situation…that’s how I try to judge. And I wouldn’t have ever approached it that way, so I just saw it as wrong.” The main reason for Blake’s anger was that Greg’s behaviour reminded him of his troubled past.

So when he saw another man being so volatile, it made him want to fight for Katie even more. That is what ultimately led him to getting engaged with her, and as such, he has vowed never to showcase such behaviour to her.

He continued: “I grew up in a household where that type of behaviour was a constant for 17 years, and I saw what that can do to my mom, in that case. And so, it triggered me a little bit. It reminded me of a brutal past.” Greg may no longer be in their lives, but it will still take some time before the memories of his conduct can be fully banished.
