A day certainly doesn’t go by that someone from Meghan Markle’s estranged family goes on the record to slam the Duchess for one reason or another. This time around it’s Meghan’s estranged half-brother, Thomas Markle, Jr. who says that she’s “shallow” in a new rant against her. Here’s what you need to know.
Thomas is currently on Australia’s “Big Brother VIP,” in which he is one of 12 celebrity contestants. In the first trailer for the show, he calls Meghan “shallow.” He also says that before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding in 2018, he warned the royal not to marry her.

“I told Prince Harry, ‘I think she’s going to ruin your life,’” Thomas says as video of him stepping out of a limo plays. “She’s very shallow.”
He also wrote that Meghan was “obviously not the right woman” for Harry and alleged that the “Suits” alum was acting “the part of a princess like a below C average Hollywood actress.”
Back in 2019, Thomas also starred in a beer ad alongside an actress that looked just like Meghan Markle. The ad showed him attempting to rob Buckingham Palace of Queen Elizabeth’s crown, only to choose a case of beer instead.
“I don’t think anyone would be upset by it. It’s not going to piss anyone off,” he told The Post at the time, suggesting that Meghan and the royal family might even find the ad funny.
So far Meghan herself has not commented on any of Thomas’ criticism, although at this point it’s doubtful that she will say anything.
