With all eyes on them, Prince William and Prince Harry have no choice but to ‘behave’ or at least pretend like they like each other during the Princess Diana statue unveiling on Thursday.
At least, that’s what some royal experts believe as a lot of people – including plenty of palace courtiers behind closed doors – are tired of William and Harry’s royal feud. Here’s what you need to know.
Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship took a turn for the worst when Harry started to get serious with his then-girlfriend Meghan Markle back in 2016. Unfortunately, things have gone from bad to worse over the years so much so that the two can’t even look at one another in the eyes anymore.

Because of all the royal drama, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex pulled the plug on their working relationship with the royal family and have since moved to California to start new lives for themselves.
Well, according to royal expert Robert Lacey, Prince William and Prince Harry have to pretend like all is well in the world when they stand shoulder to shoulder at the statue unveiling on Thursday.
He told Tom Sykes of the Daily Beast, “It’s not all going to magically come right on Thursday. But the public will expect to see more than what happened at the funeral. Somehow they have got to deliver some sort of forwards movement, and take some steps towards putting this thing behind them. If they can’t do that, and people go away feeling things are even worse between the brothers, or they are just putting on an act, it will be hugely damaging to both of them—and go against everything their mother stood for.”
Lacey continued, “Thursday is make or break. It is not the last chance, but it is the best chance. It’s a very difficult situation. It’s easy for outsiders to say ‘get over it,’ but it’s a lot to get over: accusations of racism, accusations of bullying behavior, these are very serious things, and so far, one sees no sign of backing down on either side.”
