Could it be over for real this time? There’s a new report that suggests that a riff between Meghan Markle and her best friend Jessica Mulroney might be permanent this time.
That’s because the stylist recently shared a quote about losing friends, prompting a lot of people to wonder if she might be sending a message out her fans and followers about the Duchess of Sussex. Here’s what you need to know.
As many royal fans can recall, Meghan and Jessica supposedly had a falling out last summer because of the television personality’s white privilege scandal.
Did Meghan Markle Cut Out Jessica Mulroney From Her Life?
The two haven’t been seen together in well over a year. Over the weekend, Jessica shared a lengthy quote on her Instagram page about “life changes.”
The quote says, “You lose love. You lose friends. You lose pieces of yourself that you never imagined would be gone. And then, without even realizing it, those pieces come back. New love enters. Better friends come along. And a stronger, wiser you, is staring back in the mirror.”
Late last year, Jessica insisted that she and Meghan were still friends, despite all of the reports that suggested otherwise.
This came after several ‘sources’ have claimed that Meghan decided to pull the plug on her friendship with Jessica after her embarrassing and very public white privilege scandal in which a Black influencer said that she had tried to use her status to threaten her career.
And while Jessica had issued an apology, she was still fired from her job from Good Morning America. There was some speculation that Meghan had also cut ties with her, as she did not make any public comments defending Jessica after her controversy.
That’s when some reports hinted that Meghan and Jessica were supposedly already on the outs.
Jessica wrote at the time, “I’m going to tell this once and for all. Meghan and I are family. She is the kindest friend and has checked up on me every day.”
“Tabloid culture is atrocious. It creates lies and hurtful storyline. Stop feeding into it,” Jessica continued. “Done.”
