It looks like Meghan Markle had a very hard time making any allies from the very moment that she stepped into Buckingham Palace. In fact, there’s a new ITV documentary that suggests the former Hollywood actress did not make a good first impression when she burst onto the scene back in 2017. Here’s what you need to know.
According to royal expert Penny Junor in the new ITV documentary, ‘Harry and William: What Went Wrong,’ Meghan’s showbiz approach to royal life ruffled some feathers behind the scenes. She claims that the former ‘Suits’ star was not as charming as she seemed to a lot of people.
Palace Staff: Meghan Markle Was A Royal Terror In the Making
Junor put it this way, “I was hearing very bad stories from early on that Meghan was upsetting people. Our Royal Family are not celebrities. They are working members of a public institution. I was appalled by the Oprah Winfrey interview. These are not statements that should be made for public consumption. This is the sort of thing that should happen in the privacy of a psychiatrist’s couch.”
Not only did Meghan Markle ruffle some royal feathers while she was still a full-time working member of the royal family, but she allegedly bullied some people, too.
Back in March there was a report that said the palace was investigating allegations that Meghan Markle bullied palace staff while she and Prince Harry were still full-time working members of the royal family.
London’s The Times paper recently reported that a few ex-staffers have come forward to admit that yes, Meghan Markle did bully them back in 2018. The bullying was so bad that it not only reduced one staffer to tears, but also forced two others to quit their jobs, just because they couldn’t deal with the stress anymore.
The results of the investigation will not be released this month as was previously planned. So far Buckingham Palace has not made any additional comments about the matter.
