Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ was a worldwide phenomenon when it was released back in 2019. However, due to COVID-19, the second season (as much as the rest of the world) was postponed, and only now did we finally get a teaser.
During WitcherCon on July 9th, we got to see a lot of the cast and crew talk about the new season, including an excited Henry Cavill at the end. We got to see several previews and photos from the set of the upcoming season and soon Netflix released an official teaser trailer that you can see below.
“Welcome back. Season 2 of The Witcher premieres December 17, 2021 worldwide on Netflix.”
Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ Season Two Finally Gets A Teaser Trailer!
Excited fans commented on the teaser, “Ciri: “I feel like I could burn the whole world.” Geralt: ?”, “We have waited soo long for this, that i cant remember what the actual eff even happened in season 1. Gotta watch season 1 all over again. Oh well :”)”, “Waiting for geralt to sleep with all the women in the show as an entire plot”, “Those two swords at Kaer Morhen look like they’re straight out of Witcher 3, I love it”, “I honestly believe that this show will only get better, until it doesn’t. Season 1 was great, even though a little sub par in areas like CG and story telling. This season feels like it’s beginning to master those aspects on top of what made it amazing to begin with. Seeing the other witchers and the game-based sword designs; the training areas and Kaer Morhen itself is truly astounding” and “December seems so far, need to survive the entertainment drought till then.”
