Emily Hampshire has revealed what she deems to be the worst date that she ever went on.
Emily Hampshire’s Worst Date Ended In Her Going Home With A Sinus Infection
The encounter emerged on the well-known dating application Tinder. It was during the course of a conversation that Emily agreed to meet the man at a bar. But things soon started to take a turn for the worse for the following reason: he was merely a choice that fitted a very low criteria she had at the time, given she had just gotten divorced.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Emily detailed the circumstances leading to the date. She said: “I was freshly divorced and probably not ready to put myself out there. Tinder had just come out, so I started swiping. I see this guy sans tiger. And he looks clean and, like, employable and not a serial killer. So, like all the boxes: check, check, check.”
But things were about to get even worse. Once Emily had agreed to go on a date, she had to decide on her choice of clothing. However, she was finding it difficult to get the right choice of clothing.
Naturally, it turned out to be a disaster as she threw together an outfit in a very short period of time. She added: “I don’t remember the complete ensemble…but it involved like skinny spandexy jeans and heels. The only thing I hate more than both those things is both of them together.”
Just when you thought that was bad enough, it took a further twist when Emily arrived. She decided to sit right next to her date, to the point where they were very close together. A short while later, Emily would go on to break down in tears. As her date would hug her, she recalled how her make-up splattered his white shirt.
Nevertheless, it was not all in vain. The duo ended up being very good friends, and this has continued even to this day. Her following comments confirmed as much: “I lost my dignity. I also got a sinus infection from crying that hard. But I got a friend. I got a really great thing.”
