The hit TLC show, Welcome to Plathville has gotten some great reviews and the last season really gained a lot more followers. At the end of the last season, we saw a lot of changes and a lot of drama.
We saw Ethan Plath keeping his distance from his parents, Kim and Barry Plath, and we saw Moriah and Micah Plath moving out of the farm. There were quite a few surprises, but over all, we liked how things ended. TLC just announced that there will be another season and it is coming soon.
Welcome to Plathville: The New Season
There is a brand new season of Welcome to Plathville upon us and fans are very excited to see something new on TLC. Kim and Barry decided to homeschool all of their children and live on their farm in South Georgia.
They are Christian fundamentalists and some of their children are still very religious, but there are clearly a few that decided to branch out of the lifestyle and moved away from the farm.
It has been tough on some of younger Plaths, but Ethan and his wife decided to change up their whole life and Kim and Barry feel that he is rebelling against them.
The Plath children have been kept from eating sugar, television, and social media. The older children are incredibly independent though and have started to make some changes of their own.
With the new season of the show starting soon, TLC has released a trailer. The trailer tells fans, “This season, the older kids are still on their own journey to self-discovery but while some Plaths want to make amends with their parents and continue to see their siblings, that’s not the case for everyone.”
Not only will there be another season of Welcome to Plathville, it does look like their will be a spin off show as well. This will be a digital series and it is called Plathville: Steamy Nights in Cairo.
The show will explain more about what life is like in Cairo, Georgia, where the Plaths live. It will be streaming on the TLCgo app and the new discovery+ streaming service.
Keep an eye on the Plath family to find out more about what is going on with the Plaths and if they will announce the season three premiere any time soon. It does look like production is still under way, so we have our fingers crossed for that.
