There might be a good reason why Harry and Meghan decided to honor Queen Elizabeth by naming their daughter Lilibet, which happens to be the Queen’s childhood nickname.
That’s because Harry and Meghan don’t want to do anything to upset her. It might be a little too late for that though, seeing how the Sussexes have thrown just about every single person from the royal family under the bus with their shocking revelations.
One source close to the situation told Us Weekly in an interview, “It’s no secret that the last year Harry and Meghan have been at war with the royals. All is not forgiven, but after all the backlash regarding their interviews — which by the way, the pair have no regrets about — they’re trying their utmost to maintain a good relationship with the Queen in order to keep the peace.”
Meghan gave birth last Friday at 11:40am at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, Calif. Sources say that both mother and daughter are doing quite well and that they are now settling at home.
“On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe,” Meghan and Harry announced in a statement last weekend. “Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”
