British Royal Family News says that while there’s some speculation that Meghan Markle might make the trip to London to attend the Princess Diana statue unveiling at Kensington Palace, other reports suggest that her sister-in-law Kate Middleton might not even be there.
While there’s no doubt that royal brothers Prince William and Prince Harry will be front and center for the event, a lot of royal fans can’t help but wonder who else will show up for this summer’s biggest royal reunion. Here’s what you need to know.
British Royal Family News: Kate Middleton To Skip Out On Princess Diana Statue Unveiling?
While Meghan Markle has not made any comments about her travel plans just yet, reports say that Prince Harry will fly back to London in order to make the event, which will take place on the ground of Kensington Palace on what would have been Princess Diana’s 60th birthday.
And now royal expert and commentator Camilla Tominey says that no one should expect to see this even become a family affair, as it’s unlikely that the Duchess of Cambridge will be there to steal the spotlight from anyone. Of course, because that’s the last thing she would want to do.
Speaking to the Daily Express, she put it this way, “We’ve never really been told that family is going to be included in this thing, we know this is the reunion for the brothers on what would have been Diana’s 60th birthday on July 1. Never any suggestions that the Cambridges would attend along with Prince William and equally, that Meghan and the children would attend with Harry. So I think we may just see them cut solo figures without their families around them. All eyes will be on the brothers of course, because everyone’s hoping there may be some kind of reconciliation at what is going to be a hugely poignant and significant moment for them, remembering their late mother.”
So far neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle have made any comments about the matter, but it’s without a doubt that all eyes will be both on Harry and William during the statue unveiling.
