Is there really this much bad blood between Meghan Markle and the rest of the royal family? Well, it depends on who you ask. There’s a new report that suggests Meghan’s latest move felt like a “slap in the face” to Queen Elizabeth.
That’s because she and Prince Harry named their newborn daughter Lilibet, which is a very personal nickname to the Queen that was only used by her late husband, Prince Philip. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal Expert Says Meghan Markle ‘Slapped’ Queen Elizabeth In The Face With Latest Move
Royal expert Lady Colin Campbell believes that the Duchess of Sussex is a very “disturbed individual” who is trying to save the world but at the same time, slapping everyone in the face.
A lot of people seem to be disturbed over the fact that Harry and Meghan named their newborn daughter Lilibet Diana, after both Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana even though they’ve been mostly estranged from the royal family.
In her latest vlog, Lady C put it this way, “She wants to save the world. Fight evil. One act of compassion at a time. Lots of love. As long as long as she can slap everybody in the face. Starting with the Queen. I think it is disturbing. And I think it says an awful lot about Meghan.”
Lady C also thinks that Queen Elizabeth had no idea that Harry and Meghan would name their daughter after her by using her personal nickname.
She explained, “Why would Buckingham Palace announce that the Queen did not give her permission for her nickname to be used – if she had given it? That is not the sort of thing that accidentally happens at the Palace. This sort of announcement is cleared at the very highest level.”
So far Queen Elizabeth herself has not made any direct comments about the ordeal.
