‘Arrow’ star Stephen Amell was reportedly forcibly removed from a Delta flight leaving Austin, Texas for Los Angeles, California after allegedly throwing a fit at his wife, in front of an entire plane full of passengers.
Sources have said the action star was escorted off the Delta flight on Monday at around 3pm Austin time, after he was heard screaming at his wife of 9 years, Cassandra Jean.

Reports say a flight attendant repeatedly asked a seemingly intoxicated Amell to lower his voice, but he refused as he continued to berate Cassandra Jean. Eventually an air marshal and 3 other attendants forced Amell off the plane.
Eye-witnesses say Cassandra Jean seemed mortified by the commotion. She was seen burying her face in her hands in embarrassment.
The plane was delayed due to the ruckus- as confirmed by a Delta representative who divulged the flight was late to take off due to “an unruly passenger”. The rep would not comment further on the identity of the passenger or any possible charges that may come from the disturbance that took place.
The Amells were in town for an appearance at the ATX TV Festival. Photos were posted of the couple on stage together over the weekend looking perfectly happy. Cassandra Jean and her travel companions ended up flying back to L.A. without her Canadian-born husband.
Several hours after the altercation with Delta staff, Amell released a statement seemingly minimizing what occurred. He wrote, “My wife and I got into an argument Monday afternoon on a Delta flight from Austin to LA. I was asked to lower my voice and I did. Approximately 10 minutes later I was asked to leave the flight. And I did so immediately. I was not forcibly removed.”
I haven’t heard of too many people being removed from flights for following flight attendant instructions, but what do I know?
Amell continued, “I let my emotions get the better of me, end of story.” He also mentioned that he was not detained in Texas but took a Southwest flight back to L.A. only 2 hours later.
“Must be a slow news cycle,” Amell finished his succinct statement.
