ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal we have to give some credit where it’s due. A while back, we wrote about Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) plan to hide her baby from Peter August (Wes Ramsey). The short version?
It was incredibly risky and comes with all sorts of possible legal and other issues. However, Wednesday’s episode has us firmly in the Maxie Stan category. Let’s see what happened and how Jones and Ramsey owned the episode.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Master of improvisation
First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate Maxie had to improvise her plan a bit. Thanks to Not-Chloe Jennings (Kimberly J. Brown) and that chase in the woods, Maxie’s original plan was destroyed. However, she brilliantly worked with what she had. When Peter saw her at GH, she claimed Not-Chloe stole the baby from her.
She played Peter perfectly. Using every bit of pain inside from having to give away her baby, she played the part of forgiving ex. She had him believing every word she said, and we think she might have kept it up for a while. The thing is, Peter made a slip.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The knife twist
This is where Maxie became a beast. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate she jumped on his slip and pointed out she knows he hired her and how she knows. After all, how would a perfect stranger know her cravings unless someone was feeding her the info? This had Peter at a loss, and it got better.
Maxie tore up one side of him and down the other, calling him every hurtful thing possible as she went on about how horrible it was to have him around. How terrifying it was for him to stop by her apartment. This was such a well-written scene, we will cry foul if this isn’t nominated for an award.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Winning
Same with the actors. First, there was Kirsten. With every word, you could feel a long-pent up release happening. Maxie was finally able to be free to express herself, to stop living a lie and you could see how emotional that was for her.
Her anger and pain were so clear, you felt it yourself, and we gotta salute her for that. We think she wins the week with that performance and it’s not even over yet.
As for Ramsey, when Maxie called Peter Heinrich, you could see the knife twisted in his gut. The last bit of what Peter was holding on to got destroyed, leaving him pained and broken.
And even hating the character’s actions and wanting him to go down, you still couldn’t help but feel something for him, thanks to that performance. If this is it for him on the show, he’s going out with a bang.
