‘Vanderpump Rules’ find that everything is coming up roses for Lala Kent. The 30 year old reality star welcomed her first child, daughter Ocean, in March with fiancé Randall Emmett. However, she has barely had time to revel in motherhood as her book “Give Them Lala” was released on May 4.
The book, a ‘collection of essays’ following Kent’s life from her Utah childhood through to her rise to celebrity status, doesn’t hold back. And that includes a chapter where Lala reveals she had an abortion at 22 years old.
‘Vanderpump Rules’: Lala Kent Has a New Baby, a New Book and a New Season of the Bravo Series to Film.
While she’s happy with her decision to include the chapter, she revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she went “back and forth” with the idea of dredging up the emotional experience.
She understands not all readers will agree with her perspective and why she chose to terminate the pregnancy but ultimately decided “this is something that needs to be spoken about.”
Lala admits to still worrying about what people will think when they read that chapter, and it seems that will play out on season 9 of Vanderpump Rules, which began filming this week.
When asked what this season will look like, Lala admitted our guess was good as hers. “I will say that it’s going to be a different show, but I think it’s going to be extremely entertaining,” she told Page Six.
It has been a long break since the show last filmed and many key players will no longer take part. Lala went on to talk about the events that have happened during the two year filming hiatus and how these will need to be addressed as the cast gets back together.
And let’s not forget—new babies! Lala’s daughter Ocean and Scheana Shay’s newborn, Summer will be sure to make their debuts when Vanderpump Rules makes it’s long awaited return.
