Even though Prince Harry is willingly open to talk about his childhood trauma and how he believes his father Prince Charles could have done a better job parenting him, his wife Meghan Markle remains rather quiet about her own family issues.
After all, the Duchess of Sussex is estranged from 99 percent of her family too, right? Well, that doesn’t seem to matter to Harry or anyone else as he continues to throw the royal family under the bus. Here’s what you need to know.
The Duke of Sussex was recently on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, in which he said his father Prince Charles handed down a “cycle” of “genetic pain and suffering” to him. “He treated me the way he was treated,” the 36-year-old said added.

The Duke of Sussex said he had debated leaving royal life since his “early 20s” because of “what it did to my mum.” He added, “It’s a lot of genetic pain and suffering that gets passed on anyway.”
And while there are a lot of people who sympathize with what Harry has to say, others believe he shouldn’t be speaking about such private matters in such an open and public forum.
Some critics took to their social media accounts to write, “Its wrong to bring personal relationships out in the open when other parties are not willing. Harry’s life was better and more secure than most. He thrives on victimhood,” along with, “’m not sure mental health experts would recommend persistently discussing your parents’ inadequacies in public forums and it’s to blame. Surely the fallout with family members will far outweigh offloading. H&M cannot feel at ease about their current family relationships.”
Another critic wrote, “There’s a difference between opening up and RESPECTFULLY acknowledging those who have formed a part of ones life and consistently & publicly bashing them. Sadly those who have zero experience or knowledge of narcissistic manipulation will never c what’s REALLY going on here.”
