More Casting Shake-Up At The Talk: Carrie Ann Inaba Out, Jenna Dewan In?

Daytime chat show, The Talk has gone through quite the shake up since the March 10 onscreen blow out between co-hosts Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood, leaving the former out of a job.

Now it seems another co-host, Carrie Ann Inaba may be on her way out.

Said to be “stressed” since the show was put on hiatus and Osbourne’s subsequent ousting, Inaba, who suffers from several auto immune conditions has barely returned to the stage.

Now, both fans and executives are said to believe that she may never return.

A source has claimed: “Odds are Carrie Ann will not make it through this season. She has not said she is leaving yet, but that’s how staff members feel.

Everyone thinks Carrie Ann will leave the show. She has to put her health first and her autoimmune conditions are triggered by stress.”

It is also said that producers are auditioning guest hosts as potential replacements for Carrie Ann and one big name has been tossed around more than any other.

Actress, dancer, host and mom, Jenna Dewan who guest hosted on Wednesday, is apparently the favorite of execs, co-stars and fans to take on a permanent role.

However, it may not be as easy as all that. Due to the fact the CBS show is paying out Osbourne’s contract, they may not have it in the budget to replace Osbourne and (perhaps) Inaba with a big name like Jenna’s.

Inaba, who has been a co-host on the show since 2019 is beloved on set and those working with the 53 year old will hate to see her go, but they understand her health needs to come first.

A stressful environment, which The Talk has become in the last month is not conducive to Inaba’s care regime.

While Dewan was a popular guest replacement, long time viewers wonder if it is worth replacing any of the departed/ing hosts full time. Rather, they believe that the show has come to a natural conclusion.

Dubbed a trainwreck by some and boycotted by others who believe Osbourne’s freedom of speech was violated, it isn’t a stretch to think this current season  11 could be the last.
