The last six months have been one heck of a whirlwind for comedian John Mulaney.
First John checked himself into rehab for his alcohol and cocaine addiction. Freshly sprung from the Pennsylvania facility John promptly filed for divorce from his wife of 6 years and booked a 5 night comedy performance. Now reports are linking the ex SNL writer with actress, Olivia Munn.

Let’s unpack. Firstly, John started his 60 day rehab stint in December 2020 after a relapse in a decades-long sobriety journey. Mulaney has been candid about his addiction struggles which began when he used alcohol as a crutch as young as 13.
Mulaney returned home from rehab in February and promptly asked his wife of six years, make-up artist, Anna Marie Tendler for a divorce. As the divorce became public this week, Tendler made a statement through a spokesperson, saying “I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage.”
Only hours after the divorce announcement, Mulaney took the stage at City Winery in New York for the first of five sold out stand-up appearances.
According to audiences, Mulaney’s performance packed quite the punch as the comedian mixed humor with honesty. He apparently got very real about the intervention that got him back to rehab and Rolling Stone senior editor David Fear, described Mulaney’s performance as remarkably raw, vulnerable, personal, hilarious, harrowing, brave and historic.
The final part of Mulaney’s short but jam-packed saga is the new reports that only four days post his divorce announcement, Mulaney has been romantically linked to actress Olivia Munn.
Olivia was a self-confessed “obsessive” fan of Mulaney’s and even tweeted her support to her new boyfriend while he was in rehab. According to insiders the two met again at church and the romance was born.
