HBO Max’s ‘Selena + Chef’ follows Selena Gomez as she continues to learn how to cook in her new series from her own kitchen. In the latest episode, she learns to make bruschetta from Jon and Vinny, who actually have some history together.

It turns out that the chefs she’s learning to make bruschetta from actually catered one of her photo shoots a long time ago. Unfortunately, she couldn’t really recall, but they seemed happy to be a part of the show. Take a look at the clip below that was uploaded with the following description,

“This trio goes way back, even if Selena doesn’t fully remember that. Watch Jon and Vinny give Selena Gomez some tips on making a delicious tomato bruschetta on Selena + Chef, now on HBO Max.”

In the clip, she answers one of the most important questions of all. If she were a food, what food would she consider herself, to which she replied jalapeno. She explained that one bite could be alright, but one could be over the top.

Viewers commented on the video, “Selena so Cute”, and “I’ve never really been a fan of her music but, she’s pretty engaging on camera.”

I haven’t watched the series at all, but it looks like she’s really enjoying herself, and like the chefs said, she’s not afraid to touch the food. I’ve grown up cooking and that’s such a big part of cooking (like it or not), you gotta touch the food to make it! Put all the utensils down!
