Los Angeles police have arrested five suspects in connection with the February 24 kidnapping of Lady Gaga’s two French bulldogs and shooting of her dog walker, Ryan Fischer .
The charges against the suspects include attempted murder for shooting Fischer in the chest and robbery for fleeing the scene with Koji and Gustav, Lady Gaga’s Frenchies. Asia, the third dog ran away, unscathed.
It is unclear at the moment what role each of the five suspects played in the armed robbery as only two men were seen on video, captured by a neighbor’s surveillance camera.
Five Suspects Arrested In Gaga Dognapping/Shooting
The two were seen approaching Fischer before shooting the man, snatching the two dogs and then speeding off in the getaway car.
Two days after the robbery the two dogs were returned by a good samaritan. Lady Gaga had posted a half million dollar reward for the safe return of her beloved pups, no questions asked. The unidentified woman reportedly found the French bulldogs tied to a pole and recognized them from the mass of media coverage.
The woman is said to have not been awarded the reward money just yet as she was not completely cleared by the police to have no involvement in the violent scheme. The police did say at the time of the dogs’ return that they believed the woman was not involved in any way.
We will now have to wait and see if she is one of the five suspects arrested today or if she just became a half million dollars richer.
Ryan Fischer claims that Asia, the dog who escaped the theft, was the angel he needed, curling into Fischer’s side as emergency aid rushed to him. Though his lung collapsed several times, the dogwalker is on the road to recovery.
I am sure knowing his assailants have been captured will help Fischer along that road.
