Just when you thought the world of California politics couldn’t get any crazier, Randy Quaid throws his hat into the ring. Yes, actor Randy Quaid has announced on Twitter that he is “seriously considering running for governor” and he promises “that if elected I will clean up the District Attorney Offices throughout the state.”
He’d be stepping into a crowded arena, where Caitlyn Jenner has also just announced that she’ll be running for Governor of California, which Quaid actually tweeted about just a few days ago by simply saying, “Go! @Caitlyn_Jenner”.

Randy Quaid ‘Seriously Considering’ Run For California Governor In Latest Tweet
In a tweet posted on Tuesday, Quaid wrote, “The prosecutorial corruption in California (esp Santa Barbara & the Bell scandal) is rampant; and I promise that if elected I will clean up the District Attorney Offices throughout the state.”
Quaid was a strong supporter of Donald Trump’s presidency and has since spent his days tweeting his disapproval of current President, Joe Biden.
With himself and Jenner, both reportedly republicans, entering the run for California office, could we see a switch from blue to red in California in the next few decades? Or, would they even stand a chance going up against career politicians in their homefield? It’s an interesting question and one that will be interesting and disturbing to watch.
